I was recently honored to keynote at a tea party rally with thousands of concerned people who are fed up with government spending and the American loss of freedom.
But you won't find me throwing rhetoric-bombs at the Obama administration--indeed, my quips were with the modern right.
I promise, you won't hear this type of speech at every tea party--not by a long shot.
It's all about persuasion; the tea party movement has it's potential, but only if it wakes up to some harsh political realities first and I wanted to convince some conservatives of just that.
Watch below and send this one out to a conservative, or two, who may not have yet grasped the light of the liberty movement.
Just this past week, I had the distinguished pleasure of being invited to sit on a panel for a town hall at Wake Forest University. Year of Youth was a non-partisan (we like to think post-partisan) sponsor of the event, as well as several other libertarian, conservative, and a non-partisan organizations.
The message of localism transcended pretty much all political boundaries and people agreed:
We have to act, and act locally!
Feel free to check out my remarks in the below video that begin at minute 4. And, the second video is of BJ Lawson who talks particularly on the topic of localism, and more than hits the nail on the head..
Localism is catching on, I'm telling ya! Check out the two videos below.
