February was indeed a crazy, crazy month for the hardcore of hardcore youth liberty activists. Year of Youth had a huge presence at both the 2010 International Students For Liberty Conference and the 2010 Conservative Political Action Conference.

In case you hadn't seen it just yet, the youth liberty movement stirred up a bit of controversy at the latter, but generally had a blast at the former.

At the ISFLC Year of Youth signed up around 100 new students to get plugged into our training modules and even had a raffle to give away a Scholar's Edition copy of Human Action and for a lesser prize, a Snuggie. Yes, a Snuggie. Hey, a raffle can be about humor and liberty!

At CPAC Year of Youth members were instrumental in outreach to new disenfranchised conservative youth to show them the light of the liberty movement. As testament to our collective efforts (most thanks go to YAL), Ron Paul smashed the CPAC Straw Poll with the largest margin of victory ever recorded! This video beautifully captures what was accomplished at CPAC.

While Year of Youth does not, in any way, shape or form, associate with some of the people or organizations at CPAC, we feel it is necessary to grow the ideas by reaching out to the conservative base and cordially articulating the ideas of a local, free and responsible society.

Of course, we're not talking about invading to disrupt anything, but to cordially and respectfully spread our message; one we feel the conservative base should embrace.

Yes, there are still some members of the GOP that remember the days when conservatism did not entail big & invasive government, and individual and community rights were respected! We're heading to CPAC to convey to the true conservatives what it has forgotten in the past years. Join us to once again call the GOP back to its roots, away from statism!
