This is it, the moment you've been waiting for!

Young Americans for Liberty and Year of Youth have partnered to provide world class campaign training and hands-on experience!

We invite you to join 40+ youth activists in Durham, NC, from July 15 to 19 for a full weekend of civics education.

Inspired by the success of YAL's Spring Break in Kentucky, this unique summer opportunity could be your big break to work for the r3VOLution!  In fact, jobs and internships will be offered on the spot to top training graduates.

For four nights, attendees will stay at the Comfort Inn-University in Durham, NC.  Thanks to our generous donors, for only $30, all members who attend this campaign event will receive food, lodging, and materials.

However, time is running short:

Do not waste another second, please apply right away. Your application will be processed immediately and will then be instructed on how to pay.

The Executive Director's Keynote Speech at Tea Party

By Jared Fuller, on May 31, 2010

I was recently honored to keynote at a tea party rally with thousands of concerned people who are fed up with government spending and the American loss of freedom.

But you won't find me throwing rhetoric-bombs at the Obama administration--indeed, my quips were with the modern right.

I promise, you won't hear this type of speech at every tea party--not by a long shot.

It's all about persuasion; the tea party movement has it's potential, but only if it wakes up to some harsh political realities first and I wanted to convince some conservatives of just that.

Watch below and send this one out to a conservative, or two, who may not have yet grasped the light of the liberty movement.

Why we Fight!

"Liberty starts locally, and it must start now!" James Lomax -- 18 year-old councilman candidate

Have you seen what's happening in America lately?

No, I don't mean changes happening in D.C., I'm talking about youth, rising to the occasion, mobilizing to win on the issues whose time have come!

There have been tremendous victories as of late for the youth movement for localism, liberty and responsibility. The mission of Year of Youth is not only resonating with youth, it is catching on virally all across America!

Just look at James Lomax, an 18 year-old (now that's youth!) running for city-council in Alabama. He sees the mission statement of Year of Youth as essential to our future.

Just take a look at his campaign announcement video picked up by the media!

What is the most important thing we pull from his recent coverage is just how responsive people are to the message of the youth movement rising for localism and liberty.

A fresh face for America, Year of Youth

Year of Youth's New Logo!

Friends, colleagues, peers, and fellow youth of the nation, I am happy to present you all the new, exciting fresh face for America: Year of Youth's new logo!

The symbolism of the logo is very strong, two sides, coming together under the youth banner, reaching to the top, for victory! I would like to thank all of you who contributed to the design process to afford us this new logo; it surely represents all of us, and well.

We announced the new logo this past Monday morning exclusively to Year of Youth sign-ups. If you have not yet, make sure to join the ranks right away so you can receive future critical updates to your inbox that only members get to see.  Additionally, do check out the alternative version of our logo and consider sponsoring students for the next phase of Year of Youth!

Additionally, during April, Year of Youth will be launching the most ambitious training project for localist, liberty loving youth to have ever existed.

To help me kick off that campaign, please change your facebook default picture to the below--let's send Congress a message that the youth care about freedom and taking care of the problems of society on their own terms, not on the terms of some D.C. insider or bureaucrat.

Relive the Month of Liberty!

More photos can be found here.

February was indeed a crazy, crazy month for the hardcore of hardcore youth liberty activists. Year of Youth had a huge presence at both the 2010 International Students For Liberty Conference and the 2010 Conservative Political Action Conference.

In case you hadn't seen it just yet, the youth liberty movement stirred up a bit of controversy at the latter, but generally had a blast at the former.

At the ISFLC Year of Youth signed up around 100 new students to get plugged into our training modules and even had a raffle to give away a Scholar's Edition copy of Human Action and for a lesser prize, a Snuggie. Yes, a Snuggie. Hey, a raffle can be about humor and liberty!

At CPAC Year of Youth members were instrumental in outreach to new disenfranchised conservative youth to show them the light of the liberty movement. As testament to our collective efforts (most thanks go to YAL), Ron Paul smashed the CPAC Straw Poll with the largest margin of victory ever recorded! This video beautifully captures what was accomplished at CPAC.
